The Science of Happiness
Hormones and happiness:
When we talk about science of happiness, its all about understanding our brain playing its role in our well being. Often referred to as the "feel good" hormone Mr. Dopamine is a key player in making us happy. Things like exercise, balanced diet, social connections, mindfulness, gratitude practices cater much to the release of these hormones including serotonin, endorphins making us feel good, contributing to our good health.
Genetics and happiness:
Does happiness have a genetic link? Well, research is still ongoing to find the relation between genetic makeup and the emotion of happiness. While the genetic basis of happiness is still being explored, it seems like genes does play a role in our happiness. The certain reactions, responses that we are familiar with growing up becomes our natural and involuntary emotion to situations that we face in our later life and so forth goes on to generation. They impact our well being and mental health. Simple example would be one would not react the same way to constructive criticism like another. So although the genes playing a part in happiness is still an evolving area, it sure does play a nurturing role in happiness or otherwise.
Money and happiness:
The relationship between money and happiness is quite a complex one but worth exploring. From my own experience I strongly believe money does have a huge role in happiness. We humans, despite our love for adventure and out of norms thoughts, we often tend to find comfort in our financial stability which is without a doubt our comfort zone. Balancing our needs and wants, , economic hope, providing for ourselves and our loved ones contribute to our overall well being. As long as we maintain a healthy balance between stability and desire, money can be treated indeed a tool for promoting happiness.
Overall happiness is not just an emotion but a crucial part of our daily lives. Wearing the cloak of happiness is essential for our emotional well-being and mental strength, not just for ourselves but for the people around us who depend on us. Lets aspire to create a world full of happiness.
